Game Description & Reviews:
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones takes the tried and true Fire Emblem mechanic and improves on it. Units have two classes to choose from when going through a class change, there are three new 'rookie' units that can change into one of two base classes for each one, and with the addition of the Tower of Valni, you now have a location where you can train units to the levels you desire.
Fire Emblem: TSS takes everything that was good about it's predecessor and makes it better. Any fans of the Fire Emblem games should pick this one up, you won't regret it.
In Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, you must help protect the nation of Renais from the invading Grado Empire. Plan your strategy, choose your units, and then lead your soldiers in to battle. The more experience your soldiers gain, the more you can upgrade their abilities. This time, your soldiers can gain experience by fighting new monsters in the Tower of Valni.
Pontinho rates this game: 4/5With slick graphics, phenomenal gameplay and plenty of replay value, Sacred Stones has a lot to offer. I have a few issues, though. First up, the game automatically saving when you turn off the game mid-battle is arbitrary. This leads to scenarios where you have played 3 hours, cleared 9 tenths of a battle and lose your best unit to a zombie's claw, AND YOU HAVE TO START THE FIGHT ALL OVER AGAIN IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THAT UNIT! I simply cannot exaggerate the frustration caused by this. The storyline and characters are also a cavalcade of cliches for the most part and weapon degradation as a design concept is as bad as it has always been. At least they could have made the sacred weapons unbreakable or at least make them a bloody lot more usable, but oh no, if you want to clear the Lagdou Ruins you practically have to decline from using them for about 4/5 if the time you have them.

One of those hacks from the obscure Fire Emblem fangame base.
Anyways, it’s a story and difficulty up hack like many other FE hacks with its own custom maps, items, and units.

Fire Emblem Hacks
Name | Description |
Tactics Universe | Tactics Universe is a largely custom hack of Fire Emblem 7: Blazing Sword that has been widely regarded as a completely new game by Fire Emblem fans. New chapters, new maps, new characters, new classes, new animations, sprites, music, and more all contribute to the epic story of various characters in Tactics Universe. Tactics Universe was originally a forum hack where members contributed to the creation of characters in the game amongst other things. However, when the forums died, Blazer, the game’s producer and director, took over and continued the hack anyway. I hope everyone enjoys the new Fire Emblem experience presented in this hack! Plot/Background Information: Tactics Universe takes place on the continent of Elibe–the same continent where the stories of Fire Emblem: Sealed Sword and Fire Emblem [Blazing Sword] occur. Currently, Etruria is invading the land and taking over each region in a massive assault. The other kingdom’s have been unable to stop their advance. Lycia is taken over for the most part, most of Sacae is dominated, the nomadic tribes are in turmoil, Ilia is conquered, and the empire of Bern is barely maintaining itself. However, one man begins a rebellion– unfortunately his attempts are futile and he is forced to retreat and go into hiding. Along with his son, a young boy named Shon, the rebel Siegfried creates another rebellion; however, this time he forges new alliances and gains new comrades in an attempt to halt Etruria and help conquer their oppression. Reclaim the plains of Sacae and then continue the rebellion into the heart of Lycia… Find new friends, fight in new territories, and visit areas that the future heroes of the Blazing Sword are destined to meet in the spin-off hack called Tactics Universe! |
